DanceXchange Call Out for Young People

Birmingham International Dance Festival 2020 – Apaches Project

DanceXchange is looking for 150 young people, aged 14-21 years, from the West Midlands, to be part of an exciting large-scale performance project ‘Apaches’.

From March-June 2020, the young people will take part in group residentials and workshops, creation and rehearsals, leading to a large-scale performance in Birmingham’s Centenary Square for the opening of Birmingham International Dance Festival 2020.

Apaches offers an amazing opportunity to: 

  • Be part of an exciting, unique project
  • Take part in the high-profile opening event of Birmingham International Dance Festival 2020
  • Work as a team with other young people and make new friends
  • Develop new skills and learn different movement styles
  • Build a sense of pride and achievement, and some great content for your CV
  • Gain new experiences by working with outstanding UK and international dancers

This opportunity is for young people who are passionate about dance and movement and is FREE for all. We welcome applications from young people of all backgrounds from across the West Midlands.
