Welcome to this survey on music education in Birmingham Special Schools. This survey is being conducted by Dr Anthony Anderson of Birmingham City University (BCU) at the request of Services For Education Music Service (Birmingham) and the Birmingham Music Hub.

Background Information and Additional Context:

Services For Education is the lead organisation for the Birmingham Music Education Hub which is the Music Hub for Birmingham. Other partners include: Ex Cathedra, Birmingham Contemporary Music Group, The City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Mac Makes Music, Quench Arts, B:Music and Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.

We are asking for details of your school, and contact details. This information will not be made available to organisations outside of BCU. All data collected in this survey will be held on secure BCU servers. No other personal data is asked for or retained. Any printed or published materials which may arise from this survey will be fully anonymised.

We would therefore like to invite you to participate in this survey. Participation is voluntary. If you decide to participate we will produce a summary at the end of the research explaining the main things we have learned.
