BCMG Young Composers (KS3 ages 11-14): Booking is open here for our Spring 2026 BCMG Young Composers workshops. Across four workshops, young people have the opportunity to compose for two BCMG musicians, under the guidance of professional composer Kirsty Devaney.

BCMG Creative Composing Lab (KS4/5 ages 14-18): Spaces are still available here for young people aged 14-18 (KS4/5) to spend a day composing for Bangladeshi bamboo flautist Neel Kamrul and tabla player Mohinder Singh, led by professional composer David Horne.

Learning Resources: Online resources for young people and teachers. Composing activities to try at home, videos exploring how to compose for particular instruments, composer Q and As and guidance for teachers. Available HERE.
LICP Toolkit: BCMG’s Listen Imagine Compose Primary Toolkit designed to support teaching composing in primary schools can be downloaded HERE.
Listen Imagine Compose Primary CPD: BCMG offers CPD for schools and MATs. CPD packages can be adapted to suit different contexts, scales and needs. CPD sessions are delivered by BCMG Director of Learning Nancy Evans but, depending on budget and requirements, can also include contributions from the LICP research team and professional composers. All CPD is a mix of presentation, discussion and practical activity. More information can be found HERE
