FREE ‘Introduction to Opera’ half-day workshops to your Birmingham Primary School – January and February 2026
For a morning, this would include a whole school assembly and two class workshops or no assembly and three class workshops. For an afternoon, two class workshops.
The assembly will be an interactive performance that will invite the children to explore how opera brings together drama and music to create a very special kind of storytelling. We will be asking them to come on a journey through lots of different stories, all whilst learning about Opera, its history, and the different roles within it. The workshops would be with a smaller group and children would learn a song and participate in more practical activities exploring the opera ‘Hansel and Gretel’.
Royal Birmingham Conservatoire are currently offering dates on Tuesdays and Thursdays in January 2026 and February 2026. If you are interested, please email me with a date enquiry and we will book you in!
